ProTec CEM
unites the aesthetic appearance, high radiopacity, and outstanding physical
properties of luting composites with the customary, easy working technique
of conventional cements.
Given its innovative, densely crosslinked matrix structure, ProTec CEM
expands minimally. Therefore, ProTec CEM is ideal for the conventional
cementation of metal-reinforced as well as metal-free (Targis / Vectris)
restorations. |

ProTec CEM gives you a choice of two shades: The transparent shade excellently adapts to translucent, metal-free restorations, allowing you to achieve exceptionally aesthetic results, even when you use conventional cementation techniques. The yellow shades makes it easy for you to recognize and remove excess material. |

The self-curing powder/liquid system features the well known handling properties of conventional cements: ProTec CEM is easy to mix and apply. Excess material is simply removed with an instrument. Given its state-of-the-art chemical composition, ProTec CEM demonstrates minimal solubility and continuous fluoride release. The mechanical properties of ProTec CEM are optimally coordinated with Targis/Vectris.

Studies have shown that high expansion of a cement may result in clinical failure, such as fracturing of metal-free restorations (Ref 1 and 2). In response to this problem, Vivadent has developed a new generation of hybrid ionomer cements. ProTec CEM exhibits substantially less expansion than other compomers and hybrid ionomer cements (Ref 3). The newly developed, stable network structure and the increased density of the network are responsible for this behaviour. . |

The high degree of crosslinking stabilizes the matrix of the cement and considerably reduces expansion. This property widens the indication range of the material. In addition to metal- reinforced restorations, metal-free restorations (Targis/Vectris) can also be cemented quickly and easily | ||
